I was accepted into a program to conduct independent research under the guidance of a biology professor. My project, “Dose-Dependent Effects of Papaverine on Cell Viability, Morphology, and Dopaminergic Gene Expression in Human Glial-Derived A172 Cells,” explored how papaverine impacts brain-derived glial cells. I discovered that higher doses induced neurotoxic effects, underscoring the risks of drug abuse. This research deepened my understanding of neuroscience and laboratory methods.
